Through the Eyes of a Photographer

Photography is more than just a hobby to me. It's a way to express myself through pictures and creativity. Every photograph has a story behind it, whether it is funny, interesting, simple or confusing. You know how the saying goes - "A picture is worth a thousand words." However, the art of photography is more than just clicking away at a camera. It requires thought, creativity, and patience.

As far as cameras go, I don't use my own. I normally use a Nikon D80 that is my boyfriend's camera, because I don't have a nice digital one yet. He's also really into photography. I hope to have my own camera someday, maybe a Canon!

This is a picture of a yellow butterfly that was in my grandma's garden. I took it in the summer time and entered it in the Cabarrus County Fair's photography contest, and I won first place in the nature category. After that, I became even more interested in photography than before, and now I'm hooked on it!

What do you like or not like about the picture?
