Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins was a project done by Rosiehardy on Flickr. For each Deadly Sin, she and her boyfriend, Aaron, created a photograph that corresponded with it. Here are each of them.

WRATH

PRIDE

ENVY

SLOTH

GLUTTONY

LUST

GREED

Pick a photograph, and tell me why you think the photograph is associated with the sin. I've read all the reasons why each of them are represented a certain way, but i was interested in knowing what kind of ideas you have about them.

Concord Portrait

This is a portrait I did of my boyfriend, Chase, in downtown Concord. What I started realizing about doing portraits, is that it takes a LOT of practice. I probably took about fifteen pictures of the same shot, and this is the only one I got that I really liked. I was so happy when I finally got one that I could say I was proud of. Downtown Concord is so awesome for taking portraits, if you ever need somewhere to take them. There is always some kind of weird mural painting, graffitti, or just a cool alley for you to discover, you just have to go out and find it.
Have you ever tried portraiture?

Go Lomo !

Lomography is a type of photography that requires no skill, experience, or even concentration. The only thing it does require is a little imagination. Their motto is- "Dont think, just shoot", and that is exactly what you do.

There are many types of lomographic cameras. One of my favorites is the SuperSampler. This camera has 4 lenses which takes 4 seperate pictures and puts them together like the photo above. There are also cameras like the Holga Pinhole camera, which lets streams of light into the photos and give it a really cool effect.
www.lomography.com has tons more for you to explore if you like lomography.

Do you think lomography would be fun to try?

Self-Portraits

Isn't life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?
These are my self portraits. The hardest thing about self-portraits is that it's a trial and error process the entire time. You set up the timer, settings, and everything else, position the camera and hope for a good outcome. Chances are, you'll get one good picture out of like, 15. My favorite picture is the first one. I used a small lamp near my face to get some good lighting. I would definitely say that self-portraits are probably one of the most challenging subjects in photography. Hope you liked them!
