This is a photograph of the courthouse in downtown Concord, North Carolina. I chose the courthouse as my subject because it is has some of the best architectural detail. The first photograph below, was just a straight-on picture.
The picture on the right is at an angle, which gives the photo more depth. I really like how the sky was so blue, but I was a little disappointed that I couldn't really get more in the picture.Does the picture appeal to you more when it is straight-on, or when it is at an angle?
This picture on the left is probably my favorite. At first, I just planned on taking the picture because I thought the gazebo was interesting, but then I realized how you could see the graveyard through it. I thought this was really cool and it made me love it even more.The picture below, however, was just me messing around with the camera, trying to test how close I could get to the berries. I turned out really liking
them. The soft background kind of makes them pop out more.Which photo is your favorite and why? Which is your least favorite and why?
i love the picture of the gazebo! that is so cool how you can look through it and see the cemetery. i think my least favorite though, is the picture of the courthouse when it is straight-on because it looks like its too bright outside and it kinda made the courthouse look almost like it wasn't even there. i did like the picture on the angle though. that was a better picture.
ReplyDeletethe picture thats at angle apeals more becuse it gives the picture more flavor or something more interesting to look at than heres a picture look at it. my favorite picture is the one of the gazebo beacuse the lighting effects give it more shadows and it makes the picture clear, my least favortie is teh one of the berries beacuse you cant actually see the background.

ReplyDeleteI like the gazebo picture and how it's kind of like you're on this side,living,but on the walk through you're literally near death.
cemeteries give off an eerie feeling anyway.
The picture of the gazebo is my favorite by far, but I don't really think I have a least favorite.
ReplyDeleteThe gazebo picture was taken at a perfect angle and as you say, you can see the graveyard right through it. Which makes the picture look more professional and just beautiful all together.
